Dove Christian Publishers (formerly Conquest Publishers) offers Christian books, including fiction and non-fiction. Our mission is to glorify Jesus Christ while entertaining, edifying, encouraging and exhorting the Church. Our Christian books will be of interest to those who live or wish to live an active, vibrant, biblical Christian lifestyle. The company has its origins dating back to 1998, as an imprint of a non-profit organization that provided instructional books and manuals. Its first publication was Equipping Your Church to Minister to Ex-Offenders, a manual designed to assist churches and church leaders in establishing or operating post-prison ministries. Due to the success of this publication, another publication was added: Help! My Loved One is in Prison, a manual providing information on successful reentry to family members and friends of loved ones in prison who will eventually be released. Three other publications followed, for a total of five publications as of December 2008.
In 2008, Dove Christian Publishers entered the literary marketplace with its first Christian fiction offering, Prodigal in the City. This full length novel is heavily based on the author’s experiences in helping ex-prisoners to reenter society. Other fiction offerings soon followed, in various genres, including romance, urban, historical, fantasy, suspense, and children’s. In addition to post-prison ministry manuals, the non-fiction books we offer include devotionals, memoirs, and books on Christian living. In 2017, Inscript Books was established as a self-publishing imprint to assist authors and books who may not be eligible for traditional Christian book publishing.
Dove Christian Publishers, Conquest Books, Conquest Publishers and Inscript Books are imprints of Kingdom Christian Enterprises. The company is based in Bladensburg, Maryland and is headed by Louis N. Jones, who is a Christian author himself. Dove Christian Publishers is a member of the Christian Small Publishers Association and the Independent Book Publishers Association. The company is currently seeking new authors.
